Former CEO, Channel V China; Founder of Zebra Media; "Global Leader of tomorrow" of the World Economic Forum
One of China’s leading media and music executives, Scarlett Li started her career in music as the CEO of Star TV’s Channel [V]（A News Corporation Company） music channel.
Ms Li founded Zebra Media, one of China’s top music festival operators, in 2008. Zebra Media organises the largest music festivals in China, including the Zebra Music Festival (ZMF) and Electronic Daisy Carnival (EDC). Zebra Media was sold to CMC Inc. in 2017 and Ms Li joined CMC in the same year as the VP of the group, responsible for music and the live entertainment division. Since then, she has incubated and invested in many entertainment companies including CMC Live which is now China’s largest concert company, organising more than 1000 concerts each year.
Prior to Zebra Media, Ms Li co-founded R2G Limited, a music rights clearance company. R2G was sold to Tencent Music Entertainment (TME.US) in 2016.
She obtained her bachelor degree in Australia and her EMBA from Tsinghua University in Beijing. Ms Li is a Henry Crown fellow with the Aspen Institute, a NAL of the World Economic Forum and an Asia21 fellow of the Asia Society.
